“All true histories contain instruction; though, in some, the treasure may be hard to find and when found, so trivial in quantity, that the dry, shriveled kernel scarcely compensates for the trouble of cracking the nut. Whether this be the case with my history or not, I am hardly competent to judge. I sometimes think it might prove useful to some, and entertaining to others; but the world may judge for itself. Shieleded by my own obscurity, and by the lapse of years and a few fictitious names, I do not fear to venture, and will candidly lay before the public what I would not disclose to the most intimate friend”
My grandmother told me that I have to read these missionary biographies so I started with this one and i really really love it. It is about Billy Graham's father-in-law who was a missionary in China. The missionary's wife's family had a harder time letting go of their daughter...
"All of my life I have been devoted to missions...I have given my money, my time, but I never thought I would have to give up my daughter."
so beautiful...

" When I woke up, everything smelt normal. I asked Lucy if she needed to go to the bathroom and she didn't move so I proceeded to the bathroom myself. I found it odd that she didn't need to go considering she always goes in the morning but I brushed it aside.
